The included iconv should not be used on Linux or OS X, but (depending on
local configuration) it might be needed for crosscompiling a mingw target
from Linux. Now the user can choose whether to use the included iconv or not.
cmake does already support that.
eilseq.m4 was taken from the original libiconv 1.14 package.
The included zlib should not be used on Linux or OS X, but (depending on
local configuration) it might be needed for crosscompiling a mingw target
from Linux. Now the user can choose whether to use the included zlib or not.
cmake does already support that.
zconf.h.in was taken from the original zlib 1.2.8 package. The generation of
zconf.h was made equivalent to the one generated by cmake.
Deriving from std::vector to provide helper functions appears a touch
excessive. Use typedef instead and move helper functions to the base class. New
header Toc.h provided to replace forward-declarations.
Remove TocIterator which is useless.
"echo -e" is definitely not portable. Use a plain loop instead.
Also use the automake silent rule mechanism to make the generation of monolithic source files visible.
This removes the old implementation of Cursor::getSurroundingPos, that has been superceded in commit .
As this was the last user of the Bidi class, this can be removed too.
This generalises the new use of TocBuilder (97e8101) to listings and wraps and
removes some duplicate code.
Make sure that we will never write an empty float type again in the future
(#9760)
Until now the regeneration process was starting as soon as the zoom scale
factor was changed. This was causing some glitches, especially if the zoom
was changed by the mouse wheel, as on each change the process was started
again and again making zoom changes painful and causing races such that
one could end up with the text at some zoom factor and the previews at
another one. After this commit, the regeneration is started only after
the zoom factor has been stable for about 1 second. In this way, one can
use the mouse wheel for changing back and forth the zoom factor at own's
heart desire without any slow down due to the regeneration process running
in the background. For those using previews with numbered math equations,
a nice possibility for getting the equations correctly numbered in sequence
(after removing or adding an equation) is using the shortcuts Alt+ and Alt-
in rapid sequence (less than a second between the keystrokes). Previously,
this would have triggered twice the regeneration, but now only once.
This resolves a dependency of src/support/docstream.cpp on src/TexRow.cpp,
which is the wrong way round. This fixes the linking
src/tests/check_ExternalTransforms with MSVC where the linker is not clever
enough to detect that the whole otexstream class is unused.
The option --enable-qt5 allows configuring for Qt5. The default is Qt4.
Nothing special is done with respect to Qt4, apart from pulling in the
correct libraries. Indeed, other than the core and gui libraries, now
also the concurrent and widgets libraries are needed.
The algorithm used for breaking a paragraph in LaTeX export is changed
for avoiding spurious blank lines causing too much vertical space.
This change is tied to the introduction of a new inset (with two
different specializations) helping in either outputing LaTeX paragraph
breaks or separating environments in LyX. Both of the above goals were
previously achieved by the ---Separator--- layout and can now be
accomplished by the new inset in a more natural way. As an example,
after leaving an environment by hitting the Return key for two times,
a third return automatically inserts a parbreak inset, which is
equivalent to the old separator layout, i.e., it also introduces a
blank line in the output. If this blank line is not wanted, the
parbreak separator can be changed to a plain separator by a right
click of the mouse. Of course, an environment can still be separated
by the following one by using the Alt+P+Return shortcut (or the
corresponding menu key), but now the plain separator inset is used
instead of the old separator layout, such that no blank line occurs in
the LaTeX output.
Old documents are converted such that the LaTeX output remains unchanged.
As a result of this conversion, the old separator layout is replaced by
the new parbreak inset, which may also appear in places where the old
algorithm was introducing blank lines while the new one is not.
Note that not all blank lines were actually affecting the LaTeX output,
because a blank line is simply ignored by the TeX engine when it occurs
in the so called "vertical mode" (e.g., after an alignment environment).
The old ---Separator--- layout is now gone and old layout files using it
are also automatically converted.
Round trip conversions between old and new format should leave a document
unchanged. This means that the new behavior about paragraph breaking is
not "carried back" to the old format. Indeed, this would need introducing
special LaTeX commands in ERT that would accumulate in roundtrip
conversions, horribly cluttering the document. So, when converting a
modified document to old formats, the LaTeX output may slightly differ in
vertical spacing if the document is processed by an old version of LyX.
In other words, forward compatibility is guaranteed, but not backwards.
* remove unused class TexStream.
* remove unused virtual method Inset::cellXOffset
* remove second argument of FileDialog constructor, which was actually
not used
* remove some dead local code
* remove some unused private members of classes
* in InsetMathNest::updateBuffer, fix the logic of a test
This option is going to be mandatory starting with automake 2.0.
LyX is able to use this since version 2.1, but it turns out that it is
badly implemented in versions of automake older than 1.14.
We rely on some (undocumented) symbol to detect automake 1.14 and
use the subdirs-objects option in this case.

Making everything work with autotools required making a copy of two
files from support/tests. It seems that we should not point to source files
that are handled by another Makefile.am.
Since 00387b2a38 it is possible to construct a dummy Messages object
which does not translate at all. With the old gettext implementation, a
Messages object without a defined language would have used a language from
an environment variable. Therefore, the duplicate definition of _() is no
longer needed. This gettext removal was really a good idea!
When running the test, you'll get the following messages:
Testing ../../src/../lib/layouts/siamltex.layout...
Layout.cpp (268): Cannot copy unknown style `Enumerate'
Testing ../../src/../lib/layouts/svglobal.layout...
Cannot delete style `Dedication'
Testing ../../src/../lib/layouts/svjog.layout...
Cannot delete style `Dedication'
Testing ../../src/../lib/layouts/svprobth.layout...
Cannot delete style `Dedication'
These are no errors of Layout::write(), but they indicate problems in the
definition of the layout files.
Kornel, it would be nice if you could do the cmake part.
The toolbar image is the one Uwe attached to the bug report. Note that
\sideset works only for operators like \sum in the nucleus. LyX allows
any content, so you might get a LaTeX error. I don't know how to prevent
wrong content in the nucleus.
The LaTeX font information are now centralized and outsourced. This removes a lot of hardcoding and duplication and makes it easier to support new LaTeX fonts.
objects. The problem that led to the leak is that these objects can be held in
memory long after the Buffer that created them is gone, mostly due to their
use in the CutStack. So they were previously held in a storage facility, the
DocumentClassBundle. Unfortunately, they were now being created too often,
especially by cloning. It's not really a leak, because they're accessible, but
we weren't ever destroying them.
This new approach uses a shared_ptr instead.
Thanks to Vincent for pointing out const_pointer_cast.
Currently only basic functionality (our math-tipa functionality plus multipar input). Further enhancements (such as proper unicode input and a specific toolbar) are planned. DocBook and XHTML output also need to be audited.
The lyx2lyx reversion routine surely can be improved (help appreciated), and I don't know tex2lyx enough to handle this file format change.

Of course this will only work if output_changes was true when creating the
.tex file.

The PreviewLoader is created directly by Buffer on demand. The PreviewLoader cache was complex and unneeded because there is one and only one PreviewLoader per Buffer.
