The display was wrong when a backing store is in use (which is the case
with Wayland). To fix this in GuiWorkArea::Private::resetScreen(), the
pixelRatio is now stored as a double instead of an int.
Concerning support for QT_SCALE_FACTOR, the existing code was wrong
because this value is already taken into account in devicePixelRatioF
for Qt > 5.6 (no fractional scaling support before that). The
situation is as follows:
Qt < 5.6 5.6 <= Qt < 6 Qt 6
devicePixelRatio int(ratio) int(ratio) ratio
devicePixelRatioF N/A ratio ratio
So it is only between Qt 5.6 and Qt 6 that devicePixelRatioF() has to
be used instead of devicePixelRatio().
QGuiApplication::devicePixelRatio() does not have a 'F' version, it
always returns the real thing.
Fixes ticket #13039.
Starting with Qt 5.6, setting the environment variable QT_SCALE_FACTOR
makes everything accordingly bigger. So, if QT_SCALE_FACTOR=1.2, all
text and GUI elements are rendered 20% bigger. However, if an application
does not account for this, everything will also look "blocky".
With this commit, all text and images will be scaled remaining sharp.
This works whether a HiDpi screen is used or not, but is mostly useful
with a HiDpi screen, as all GUI elements are more spaced apart and one
can use the mouse for selecting things without requiring a high precision.
Now the minibuffer toolbar is "auto" by default. It is opened by
command-execute (M-x) and closed when the command is executed without error.
* make lyx::dispatch return a DispatchResult struct
* there is a new MINIBUFFER type of toolbar, that can be used for this use.
* remove special handling of M-x in minnibuffer; Escape can be used instead. Fix focus in this case.
* when minibuffer toolbar is "auto", make the toolbar close itself after
- a command has been executed without error
- an empty command has been executed
- the Escape key has been used
[this is actually commit fdcff02a, which was later reverted at dd61d8cf]

This is needed since src/support calls lots of qt code, and some parts of it
(e.g. QFileInfo) require a running event loop. This fixes bug #4917 which is
a symptom of the problem.
The fix is to create a QCoreApplication for tex2lyx, lyxclient and LyX running
without GUI. In the future this could be extended, i.e. to split up the
frontend Application class in a GUI and a console class, and having the
console class use LyXConsoleApp in the same way as Application now uses
GuiApplication. If that is done, one could also think of moving
support/ConsoleApplication to frontend/console/ConsoleApplication.
The LaTeX font information are now centralized and outsourced. This removes a lot of hardcoding and duplication and makes it easier to support new LaTeX fonts.
The goal here is to get rid of the old code that modified variables
LANGUAGE and LC_ALL, therefore creating the problems mentionned
in the ticket.
In the new system, there is no explicit "GUI" message handler, that
needs to be reset at each language change. Instead, getGuiMessages
calls getMessages with the correct parameter. This allows to simplify
greatly the code and to remove a lot of old cruft.
The PreviewLoader is created directly by Buffer on demand. The PreviewLoader cache was complex and unneeded because there is one and only one PreviewLoader per Buffer.

By default, if the lyxpipe is set up and working, loading of documents
is deferred to an already running instance. Note that an already running
instance is only used for loading, such that export from command line
still works as usual.
The default behavior can be changed through a preference setting, and,
whatever the default is, it can be overridden by command line options.
Unticking the "Single instance" check box in the preferences, LyX behaves
exactly as before the introduction of this feature.

Using "-f main", only the main file is overwritten.

Change inset-forall so that screen is not repainted at each iteration, since this lead to very slow opeartion on large files. This is not a problem for current uses, but can potentially lead to crashes.
See ticket #6641 for more thoughts and possible solutions.

There are two new rc preference:
* spellchecker: can now be "aspell" or "hunspell", this is selectable in the SpellChecker preference dialog
* hunspelldir_path: needed for hunspell dictionaries which are defined to be in a fixed location. This can be modified in the path preference dialog.
The SpellChecker classes could be instanciated on the fly whenerver they are needed if we want that.
Please test and help me finish this hunspell integration...

by default read from lib/commands/default.def
A .def file allows to define a command with
\define "Name" "lfun"
where Name is the name of the new command and lfun is the code
to be executed.
\def_file "FileName"
allows to include another .def file.
The implementation of CmdDef is similar to KeyMap, i.e. there is
one instance created in the LyX.cpp that reads the .def file, holds
a list containing all definitions, and supplies access methods.
LFUN_CALL: The new lfun is used to execute a command definition, e.g.
call Name
If a toolbar item has the associated action "call Name" then the image
lib/images/commands/Name.png is used for the button.
