The removal of duplicates is done in LastCommandsSection::add and uses
the erase-remove idiom for performance.
Most of the patch is a cleanup of GuiCommandBuffer:
* remove history_ member, that was a copy of the session lastcommands
vector. Use instead a wrapper history() around it and a addHistory
wrapper for adding new entries.
* Make sure that there is only one place where commands are added to
history. The code used to maintain a list for interactive editing,
and a list for saving the session. They could be different in terms
of leading/trailing spaces.
* [unrelated] remove command_ member, which is just a copy of
LyXAction list of commmands. Use directly lyxaction instead.
The bookmarks are shown with circled numbers in the right margin (or
the left margin in RTL mode). A new color "bookmarks" has been added.
Currently bookmark 0 (the return position) is not displayed because it
is very disturbing in practice.
To make this work, a new method BookmarksSection::bookmarksInPar
retuns the list of bookmarks in a paragraph along with their position.
Force redraw when using bookmark-save and bookmark-clear.
Caveats:
- this solution does not show the precise position of the bookmark
(this is supposedly not a problem).
- if several bookmarks are on the same row, they will currently be
garbled. It would be easy to make sure that only one is shown ; what
would be more difficult would be to move the second bookmark lower.
- it is possible to make sure that the markers are correctly centered
in the margin, and that the margin size is large enough to hold the
marker (I did not try all fonts).
Fixes bug #2496.
The bookmarks are added as virtual elements in display Rows. Bookmarks
are shown with circled numbers. A new color "bookmarks" has been
added. Currently bookmark 0 (the return position) is not displayed
because it is very disturbing in practice.
To make this work, a new method BookmarksSection::bookmarksInPar
retuns the list of bookmarks in a paragraph along with their position.
Force redraw when using bookmark-save and bookmark-clear.
Fixes bug #2496.
Using a map would sort the elements in alphabetic ordering, which
means that when the number of elements is larger than 100, the wrong
elements get pruned.
This commit uses a list instead. Searching an item needs linear time,
but this should not be a problem for a list with less than 100
elements.
Fixes bug #10310.
Allow a LaTeX backend to run external commands after user confirmation.
This is a per document and per machine setting. The authorization has
to be given through the document settings pane, but is not recorded in
the document itself. Moving the document to either another computer or
another directory on the same computer revokes the authorization.
This can also be done by right clicking the red icon that appears in
the status bar when a document is marked as one requiring shell escape.
The patch also checks whether the user has added the -shell-escape
option to a LaTeX converter and nags the user to remove the option
(which would be used for all documents) in favor of the (per document)
support offered by LyX.
This commit does a bulk fix of incorrect annotations (comments) at the
end of namespaces.
The commit was generated by initially running clang-format, and then
from the diff of the result extracting the hunks corresponding to
fixes of namespace comments. The changes being applied and all the
results have been manually reviewed. The source code successfully
builds on macOS.
Further details on the steps below, in case they're of interest to
someone else in the future.
1. Checkout a fresh and up to date version of src/
git pull && git checkout -- src && git status src
2. Ensure there's a suitable .clang-format in place, i.e. with options
to fix the comment at the end of namespaces, including:
FixNamespaceComments: true
SpacesBeforeTrailingComments: 1
and that clang-format is >= 5.0.0, by doing e.g.:
clang-format -dump-config | grep Comments:
clang-format --version
3. Apply clang-format to the source:
clang-format -i $(find src -name "*.cpp" -or -name "*.h")
4. Create and filter out hunks related to fixing the namespace
git diff -U0 src > tmp.patch
grepdiff '^} // namespace' --output-matching=hunk tmp.patch > fix_namespace.patch
5. Filter out hunks corresponding to simple fixes into to a separate patch:
pcregrep -M -e '^diff[^\n]+\nindex[^\n]+\n--- [^\n]+\n\+\+\+ [^\n]+\n' \
-e '^@@ -[0-9]+ \+[0-9]+ @@[^\n]*\n-\}[^\n]*\n\+\}[^\n]*\n' \
fix_namespace.patch > fix_namespace_simple.patch
6. Manually review the simple patch and then apply it, after first
restoring the source.
git checkout -- src
patch -p1 < fix_namespace_simple.path
7. Manually review the (simple) changes and then stage the changes
git diff src
git add src
8. Again apply clang-format and filter out hunks related to any
remaining fixes to the namespace, this time filter with more
context. There will be fewer hunks as all the simple cases have
already been handled:
clang-format -i $(find src -name "*.cpp" -or -name "*.h")
git diff src > tmp.patch
grepdiff '^} // namespace' --output-matching=hunk tmp.patch > fix_namespace2.patch
9. Manually review/edit the resulting patch file to remove hunks for files
which need to be dealt with manually, noting the file names and
line numbers. Then restore files to as before applying clang-format
and apply the patch:
git checkout src
patch -p1 < fix_namespace2.patch
10. Manually fix the files noted in the previous step. Stage files,
review changes and commit.
We currently cannot restore multiple views of the same buffer properly.
On the mac, we even crash.
So do not try it, record each file only once in the last opened list.
Fixes: #9483.
A bool is added to the entry of a last opened file in the Session file. This bool, indicates whether the file was the last one being edited.

* the history is stored in the session file and restored in the next LyX session,
* the lists now disappear when the mouse is released in stead of pressed,
* correct enabling/disabling of the up/down button,
* hide the lists when clicked outside the list. Now using the function event() and check for a mouseButtonPressEvent instead of using mouseReleaseEvent(). The latter is only called when the mouse button is released inside the widget, but we want to use this event to detect a mouseclick outside the list.

* LyXFunc.cpp:
Note that getStatus() always returned true for LFUN_BOOKMARK_CLEAR. This is because bookmarks().size() is hardcoded in the code to be 9 which is always larger than zero, obviously

- constify some parameters
- getFontSettings():
- getFirstFontSettings(): return a const ref instead of a copy. This brings a consistent 4% improvement in LateX generation. Might speedup rtl handling too.

- We now rely more upon Qt features,
- the initial toolbar positioning defined in "lib/ui/default.ui" is now only used if there is no session or if session handling is disabled,
- The session saving/restoring is window dependent.
