Due to its peculiarity of not being saved in the document, the
shell escape setting was applied immediately without the need
for hitting the Apply or OK buttons. However, for uniformity
sake, it is better to adhere to the established paragdim of
confirming any changes before applying them.
Allow a LaTeX backend to run external commands after user confirmation.
This is a per document and per machine setting. The authorization has
to be given through the document settings pane, but is not recorded in
the document itself. Moving the document to either another computer or
another directory on the same computer revokes the authorization.
This can also be done by right clicking the red icon that appears in
the status bar when a document is marked as one requiring shell escape.
The patch also checks whether the user has added the -shell-escape
option to a LaTeX converter and nags the user to remove the option
(which would be used for all documents) in favor of the (per document)
support offered by LyX.

This is not the right way of getting rid of HSpace. We need a proper
Length, not a string.
Rephrase positively the check box for the output of en- and em-dashes
and disable it when using non-TeX fonts. The state of the check box
is remembered, so that toggling the non-TeX fonts check box does not
cause information loss.
* New constant LYXFILE_LAYOUT_FORMAT in src/TextClass.cpp. This determines the
layout format corresponding to the current lyx file format.
* The Local Layout pane is changed so that the "Convert" button does not convert
to the internal layout format but to the current lyx file format, to make sure
that the file does not become unreadable with a specified earlier version of
LyX.
* If LYXFILE_LAYOUT_FORMAT == LAYOUT_FORMAT then LyX behaves as before. This is
the value defined in master.
* The tooltips in the list of modules now include the names of the modules.
* The tooltips of modules more consistent across the widgets.
* Sort the list of modules according to the locale (i.e. "É" comes before "F").
* Replace a hand-made sentence boundary finder by Qt's.
This is one part of bug 9744: If you toggle between TeX fonts and non-TeX
fonts, the settings of the other choice are no longer thrown away, but stored
and re-activated if you switch back. Most parts of the patch are purely
mechanical (duplicating some BufferParams members), the only non-mechanical
change is in the GUI logic.
The "save-as" part of the bug is fixed by extending the \textclass tag
such that, if a local layout file is used, its path relative to the
document directory is now stored together with the name. If a relative
path cannot be used, an absolute one is used but, in this case, the
document is not usable on a different platform.
The "copy" part is fixed by introducing a new \origin tag, which is
written when the file is saved. This tag stores the absolute path of
the document directory. If the document is manually copied to a
different location, the local layout file is retrivied by using
\origin (which is only updated on save).
This new tag may prove useful also for locating other files when the
document is manually moved to a different directory.
As in the original implementation the files needed for the layout
(for example, a latex class) had to be in the same directory as the
layout file, this directory has also to be added to TEXINPUTS.
False positive rate of hints is quite high. Although the includes can be
technically removed (due to other includes) they logically belong to the
header.
This addresses #6543 by adding an option to prevent fonts such as Palatino and Times to automatically adapt the math font (IOW it lets you load the text font only for a bunch of fonts where this is easily possible).
Furthermore it adds an interface to select a specific math font, which is defined in latexfonts. Currently, this is only euler (the only one I know), but if there are other math-only tex fonts, they can be added easily (but note that this changes the file format).
Non-TeX math fonts are not yet supported. Eventually, unicode-math support can use the existing UI, but this is not on my agenda.
The LaTeX font now do not specify simply alternative packages or packages for OT1 encoding etc., but they refer to complete AltFonts (which are not directly accessible via the GUI). This way, alternative fonts can also have options (osf, sc etc.), and they can use all sorts of initializing methods (\usepackage, \setrmfamily etc.).
The LaTeX font information are now centralized and outsourced. This removes a lot of hardcoding and duplication and makes it easier to support new LaTeX fonts.
Add a new layout syntax CiteEngine to define the citation commands
available for a given citation engine.
Also extend the CiteFormat syntax to allow more customization. This
mechanism, previously used to produce bibliography entries in the
citation GUI based on the BibTeX entrytype, is now also used to
produce the textual labels for citation insets in the buffer view.
Thus citation styles are almost completely customizable by modules.
Modules for the basic, jurabib and natbib engines are implemented.
Layout format incremented to 37.
