The module subequation allows to number equations in the "Subfigure"
inset to be numbered (1a), (1b), (1c), etc.
To implement this on screen, we need to redefine temporarily the
"equation" counter to use this different numbering.
To this end, implement Counters::copy method that can be used to
backup full counter definitions.
Fixes bug #12567.
The current spelling is not strictly wrong, but flagged as unusual or
historical by some authorities. It is also found fault with many
spell checkers. Thus we decided to move to the more standard "-ible"
form once and for all.
See #10678 for discussion
This part covers the most tricky part: the internal naming.
Translations and layouts will follow.
This will all also all be backported to 2.3.x, for the sake of backwards
compatibility (cherry-picking).
Regression at cfeddb929. If a flex inset has no layout upon saving (e.g. if a
module has been deleted) then its name became lost. This checks whether the name
resolution, introduced with the ObsoletedBy tag, comes back empty-handed (which
it will if the layout is not defined). In this case, we do as was done before
cfeddb929.
In addition, the use of support::token to strip "Flex:" off the beginning of the
name introduces a regression if somebody used a name containing ":". This
replaces it with support::split.
This makes the defaults of Inset::inheritFont() and Inset::resetFontEdit()
compatible. There is no user visible change except for the Chunk inset which
does not produce invalid LaTeX after editing operations anymore.
This is the safe version for 2.1.0, for later there are still open questions:
- All insets with ResetsFont true should be audited: Is this really needed,
or do they show similar editing problems as the Chunk inset?
- Does inheritFont() need to be customizable in the layout file as well?
- Is resetFontEdit() != !inheritFont() needed at all?
I did not use change tracking for the docs, since I updated all existing
translations.
resetFontEdit(). The former is used for on-screen and export formatting,
and the latter is used for interactive editing.

to the simple version. We need to do it this way because we should NOT
really require the "Flex" prefix and, in fact, should permit other
prefixes to be used. Next commit for that.

- put the InsetFlex specific part into InsetFlex,
- honor the argument given to the LFUN also for normal Insets as the description already stated,
- fix bug #6285: context menu action goes to the wrong inset.

Sorry, Andre, but this broke not only the modules stuff but the general handling of TextClasses. I'm not opposed to doing this sort of thing, but it's going to be a little more complicated. I'll do it when I get a bit of time, or I can explain what the issue is here if you want to do it.
I'll separately re-commit some of the cleanup here.

Also a few cosmetical changes where I xould not resist.
Would be nice if the 'modules people' could verify that their baby
is strill alive...

In this commit, we do the minimal amount of work necessary to protect our data.
