d1e3d75da2 Fix bug #5131: Remember last file active. 
A bool is added to the entry of a last opened file in the Session file. This bool, indicates whether the file was the last one being edited.

4b8376bbb3 Revert r29532 and do something less risky. 
Now, the tabs are closed in reverse order, which is aesthetically better. Consequently, we have to open the files (read from the session file) also in reverse order.

876dc0d54e Fix up a few little things after r29065. If we're calculating the autosave 
filename in a different way, we need to make sure we always do it the same
way. Makes more sense to do this in Buffer anyway.

8a0d98e67e - stdmenus.inc: Phantom can contain other things as well, not only text 
- LyXAction.cpp: updates and sorting
- GuiPhantom: a dialog to set the different phantom types (stolen from GuiNote)

The Phantom feature should now be complete. Thanks to all who contributed and helped.

cc3b9c61cf Fix crash when no new document can be created. 
This occurs frequently when the temporary directory cannot be created because it already exists. The temporary directory can exist as a result of previous crashes of LyX.

ac1fd9b37f fix bug 2558: hspace support in math 
The basic idea was to reuse the corresponding text space inset in the same
fashion as is already done for references. The dialog displays a different
selection for math than for text. If wanted, the additional spaces could
also be enabled for text, but that would be a file format change.
Constructs like \hspace{\mylengthvariable} that are not supported are
treated by the math parser as ERT as before.

For reasons I don't know the context menu does not work, but this is not so
important IMHO (since a left click opens the dialog).

7bd33462a0 Avoid a complete Toc reset in case when only a toc item update is needed.

8e4d2d66ce Reset the geometry and ui settings whenever a change in the ui files is selected. This commit will destroy any current geometry session. The "view-id/" nodes are converted into "view/id/" nodes.

a54850d762 GuiApplication::resetGui(): reset as many things as possible, including menus and toolbars (not sure about Mac global menubar yet). This means that except for already opened dialog, all ui rc settings are taken into account without the need to restart.

7bb8a5f183 Re-engineer the toolbar support code: 
- We now rely more upon Qt features,
- the initial toolbar positioning defined in "lib/ui/default.ui" is now only used if there is no session or if session handling is disabled,
- The session saving/restoring is window dependent.

40f50f2a94 - using Alt key in fullscreen mode: don't autoshow the menubar but popup directly relevant menu if possible. This code will I guess not work on Mac. The solution is I think for GlobalMenuBar to subclass MenuBar instead of QMenuBar. 
- remove autohide of menu and status bar.

13e42a8c73 Introduce groups for graphics insets. That includes: 
- GuiGraphics dialog field for setup new groups.
- Graphics context menu for assigning to certain group.
- Fileformat change for groupId field in Graphics inset.
- Undo mechanism added to inset-apply, for catching changes
  in preference dialog.
- Qt designer 4.4 used now.

ffa722e0b7 Cleanup Toc dialog and GuiView interaction. The toc models are now part of GuiView. The TocWidget is just a view of this model. 
* GuiView::tocModel(): new method to access the toc models.
* TocModels: new class with code transferred from GuiToc.
* TocWidget: only needs a TocModels reference.

Thoughts:
- We should find a way to get rid of GuiToc.{c,h}
- tocModels() should perhaps be transferred to GuiWorkArea instead of GuiView in order to have Buffer dependent navigators.

bf27334cfa Some dialog consistency work: 
* Dialog::updateData(): try to reset the dialog even if there's no Buffer.
* GuiView::updateBufferDependent():
- renamed to updateDialogs()
- don't hide when there's no current work area, try to disable instead.
- now also take care of toolbars and other elements. 
* TocWidget: delay item selection to avoid unwanted node collapsing after setting a new model.

Expect crash and/or assertions for dialogs that are not ready for this non-hiding change. I will fix them iteratively.
There are still too many dialogs updates going on...

8a69ffd3bf Complete the removal of the embedding stuff. Maybe. It's hard to be sure we got everything, but this does compile, and it seems to work at least reasonably well. Any problems should of course be reported to the list. 
For the record, this developer is sorry that the problems with this code were not noticed much earlier. It's not fun to do so much work and then have it all reverted.

4e223167ff * activate the view from the constructor. This makes sure that the

83661da26a * When clicking the close button on a background window, it can be that the window does 
not get the current view when the closeEvent arrives. So better make sure it is the current
  explicitly.
