The current heuristics only considered modules with styles that defined
a searched command in their preamble, and only for commands/environments
that were defined in the document's preamble. This limited the module
support drastically.
The new heuristics also checks for commands coming from packages. If the
command is not (re-)defined in the document preamble, it checks modules
that provide a style with a matching LaTeXName, checks for their
requirements and matches those with the packages loaded by the document.
If no module provides a searched style, but we found modules that load
packages that are loaded in the imported tex file, and if those packages
are not auto-loaded by LyX anyway, we also load this module.

This commit updates tex2lyx in order to also import minted listings.
For the floating version of a listing, minted uses the listing
environment, a concept that is not shared with the listings package,
towards which our listings inset is geared.
For this reason, a kludge is necessary when importing minted listings
not previously exported by LyX itself.
If the floating listing contains only a caption and a label (other
than the listing itself), everything is fine and the import is (or
aims to be) perfect. But, as in all other floating ebvironments,
one can also stick there other elements, which don't have a place
in the listings inset. So, in order to avoid a data loss, tex2lyx
sticks everything into the caption. In this way, things may be
rearranged in the GUI, if necessary. There is no other way, apart
from a complete redesign of the listings inset, of course. However,
I think that this is an acceptable compromise.
- LyX has new preamble tags. Although that they are not relevant for LaTeX they must be created by tex2lyx nevertheless
- also fix an issue that the formula indentation was always output
- update the tex2lyx tests accordingly
We open the input file now twice: The first time in latin1 encoding to read
the document encoding from the preamble. This does always work, since
traditional TeX does not allow non-ASCII contents without an encoding changing
command (except for comments, but we do not need them, and using latin1 rather
than utf8 ensures that they do not produce an iconv exception, but are simply
recored with wrong characters), and we do detect the utf8 based TeX engines
XeTeX and LuaTeX as well. The second time we open the file directly with the
document encoding.
This fixes a few tex2lyx tests on OS X, since changing the encoding of an
open file steam does not work with clang on OS X. Files using more than one
encoding are still broken, but all single-encoding files are fixed now.
This does not make any difference currently, since the only instance of the
Preamble class is a global one, but it is cleaner and will be needed for
parsing the encoding with a second Preamble instance.
Increment LyX format to 504.
With this new parameter, the user can indicate that some other parameters that
are frequently switched must not be recorded in the file (as if they were a
setting specific to the user or transient, rather than a document setting). This
will play nicer with version control systems.
See the discussion, e.g.:
http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.editors.lyx.devel/157824/focus=157993 (third
solution mentioned)
TODO:
* The interface remains to be set up. We cannot change this setting from LyX
for now.
* If save_transient_properties is false, we should read the user setting as a
per-user-per-document (session) setting (e.g. like the cursor position).
* Once the above is done, we can treat \justification the same way (but it would
be even better if \justification was moved to lyxrc).
This is one part of bug 9744: If you toggle between TeX fonts and non-TeX
fonts, the settings of the other choice are no longer thrown away, but stored
and re-activated if you switch back. Most parts of the patch are purely
mechanical (duplicating some BufferParams members), the only non-mechanical
change is in the GUI logic.
This is the first part of bug #8553. \textgreek was interpreted as the
polyglossia version even if polyglossia was not used. Now it is not recognized
at all and converted to ERT, but this ensures at least correct LaTeX output.
If the user gave the -fixednec argument to tex2lyx then set that encoding as
LaTeX input encoding in the generated LyX file. Otherwise, included .bib files
could be interpreted using a wrong encoding.
- Convert prettyref to the autopackage mechanism
- Do not load refstyle automatically if some refstyle preamble code of LyX
is found, since LyX will only load the package if an actual reference
command is used. This is needed for mixed refstyle/prettyref documents.
- Only recognize refstyle commands if refstyle was detected in the preamble
- Only recognize prettyref commands if prettyref was detected in the preamble
- Add a mixed refstyle/prettyref test case
Actually, the test case showed several problems:
- ERT insets did use layout "Standard", not "Plain Layout"
- The font scale was read correctly, but tex2lyx claimed that it did ignore
the option "scaled=0.95"
- If a third argument of the CJK environment was given, it caused the whole
environment to be put in ERT with a broken encoding. This is now fixed for
the bug test case by using the \font_cjk header variable, but the encoding
problem still exists for unsupported encodings. I'll file a separate bug
for that.
- The CJKutf8 package was not handled in the preamble parsing. Therefore the
chinese comment in the preamble was read with a wrong encoding, and guessing
the document language did not work.
The new file CJKutf8.tex was created by copying and modifying CJK.tex, but
unfortunately it is impossible to tell git to inherit the history of CJK.tex
for the new file (search the web for git svn copy if you want to know details).
Both problems where caused by the fact that tex2lyx did not handle
natbib/jurabib citations correctly if natbib/jurabib was loaded by the
document class. Therefore it tried to parse the standard \cite syntax, and
did not recognize \citet and \citep.
Instead of annoying the user with an automatically created note in the output
document which she needs to delete manually, determine the document language
automatically for documents that use CJK. This is done using a heuristic which
roughly counts the number of characters in each language and sets the one that
is used most often. This is not perfect, but it works for the two major use
cases: A document with only some CJK parts (in this case the babel language is
used), and a document which is mainly written in one CJK language. It is only
a minor problem if the heuristic is wrong, since the TeX export is still
correct, and there is no spell checking support for CJK anyway.
Now all regression tests do pass except for some relative path issues
depending on the location of the build directory.
The previous output was read correctly by LyX as well, but the new version is
more similar to the files written by LyX. Also update TODO with recent file
format changes.
- Preamble.cpp/:
- move list definition out of anon namespace
- declare lists and a function in the class
- text.cpp: remove the now already defined list
- tex2lyx/Preamble.cpp/h: not all new header definitions since fileformat 413 have yet been added to texl2yx, so do it now; also change some new default values
I introduced this bug in r40091 where support for empty dates was added.
I also noticed that the title_layout_found flag was not properly passed down
to all variants of parse_text*. Since this is rather a global variable I
placed it into the preamble class.
The test case of bug #8104 shows other problems as well, but those are no
regressions and will be fixed separately.
OK for branch?
The type of citation engine is determined by the citation package
being used and, in the case of natbib, its options.
