- since NSIS 3 Unicode is allowed and even required.
The first installer for RC1 used the non-Unicode and therefore users of non-Latin script languages could not see readable text in the installer.
- also remove some JabRef residues
- fixed typos and updated translation
- support for Krita
- updated support for Gimp
- updated backup detection for TeXLive (generic detection always works independently)
- safeguard for a variable issue
As discussed with Vincent I added 3 new features:
* LyX can now also be installed over an existing installation of the same LyX version if the users really wants this.
(A message box appears recommending not to do so for test releases and when there are problems with an existing installation of the same release.)
* LyX can now also be installed if the uninstaller executable of a former LyX was accidentally deleted.
(That this case was not handled was more a bug. Thanks Vicent for the pointer.)
* If a user set MiKTeX's automatic package installation to "No" the installer will.
(As discussed with Vincent, if a user has disabled this MiKTeX feature he most probably know the consequences. So respect his decision.)
respect that and not re-enable it.
I would be happy if anybody can spend a translation of the changed installer message.
It is possible to install a newer lyX over an existing older LyX installation, but we cannot allow to install over the same lyX version. Therefore output the version number if this error message is shown
- thanks to the new version of ImageMagick no longer admin permissions are required
- init.nsh: iron out 2 non-admin residues
- language files: add missing entries and remove some unused ones
* remove old text in uninstaller
* remove language selection in installer (now integrated in LyX prefs)
* updates for MSVC 2010

* Add option to bundle required ImageMagick/Ghostscript files without the need to modify registry keys that belong to the original applications. This allows for full support for installation by limited users, gives different users the possibility to have a different setup of all LyX tools and reduces download size. The necessary files will be included in the dependency package.
* Python, ImageMagick and Ghostscript will now all be compiled using the same MSVC compiler and can use the same C runtimes. This reduces the installer size.
* Compile Python files during installation to improve performance. Limited users may not have access to the installation folders so the files cannot be compiled afterwards.
* Only the settings that typically need to be changed for LyX releases are now in settings.nsh.
* Rename launcher executable to LyXLauncher.exe to match the alternative installer.
* Minor fixes and cleanup.

* use nsDialogs instead of InstallOptions for custom wizard pages, faster & easier to customize
* upgrade to Modern UI 2
* use MultiUser.nsh to support multiple installation modes (all users / current user) in a much more simple way
* use LangFile.nsh for the language files, again less scripting required
* simplified installer structure
* more meaningful variable names
* more comments
* minor fixes

* More space on installer dialogs
* Shortened a few texts
* Set default LyX language to English if the OS language is not supported
* Corrected text on viewer download dialog
