Until now only the color of the text could be changed by using
the text properties dialog. This commit allows changing all
other properties except for strikethrough. It is possible to
also add underlining with the limitation that the changes
accumulate. This requires other work but I think that underlining
and strikethrough are not so important in mathed and can be
refined at a later time.
Fixes#12958
This is done at the end of the release cycle to avoid backporting issues.
The goal is to simplify development, since it was difficult to guess
in which file a given method could be found.
There is some effect on compilation time, but it is not too bad:

This adds native macros for subindexes (!level), |see and |seealso
as well as native support for ranges |( |) and pagination format
-- e.g., |textbf -- via the index dialog
Resolves#12478, #7232 and #5014
The feature is complete (incl. tex2lyx) except for
* file format change and lyx2lyx
* docbook/xhtml
* documentation
Move the enum definition RowFlags in its own include file, to avoid
loading Inset.h. Document it more thoroughly.
Rename RowAfter to AlwaysBreakAfter.
Add CanBreakInside (rows that can be themselves broken). This allow to
differentiate elements before bodyPos() and allows to remove a
parameter to shortenIfNeeded().
Make the Inset::rowFlags() method return int instead of RowFlags, as
should be done for all the bitwise flags. Remove the hand-made bitwise
operators.
Set R::E::row_flags when creating elements.
* INSET elements use the inset's rowFLags();
* virtual element forbid breaking before them, and inherit the *After
flags from the previous element of the row;
* STRING elements usr CanBreakInside, except before bodyPos.
More stuff may be added later.
1/ remove boost regex code from 3rdparty/boost. Only the cmake stuff remains.
2/ remove traces of BOOST_LIB since there is no need anymore to
compile boost stuff.
3/ remove traces of boost regexp in config/lyxinclude.m4 and INSTALL
4/ require gcc 4.9 as minimal version in autoconf.
Unfortunately, the net gain is only 10% of included boost size (now 21M).
This inset allows counters to be set, reset, saved, restored, etc,
both in the LyX GUI and in the output; optionally, the effect can be
limited to the GUI. Of course, LaTeX provides means for doing all of
these things, so they could previously be done with ERT, as far as
the output is concerned. But there was no mechanism for manipulating
counters in the GUI and none for other output formats.
1/ The most annoying part was the error in po/. It turns out that reading
and understanding the po/Makevars file was the key. A simple change of
variable ensures that "make dist" does not try to rebuild lyx.pot.
2/ The way tests in src/ are defined meant that the
dependency-tracking files were not all deleted. This should be OK now.
In particular, the directory frontends/qt4 is renamed to frontends/qt.
Many configurations file have to be updated. All mentions of qt4 in
the source have been audited, and changed to qt if necessary.
The only part that has not been updated is the CMake build system.
When callback printing is enabled, link lyx with -rdynamic, so that
stacks have LyX symbols available.
Add option --disable-callstack-printing to configure.
Running "size" on binary:
* with callstack printing support
text data bss dec hex filename
20891684 34680 107796 21034160 140f4b0 src/lyx
* without callstack printing support
text data bss dec hex filename
17953640 34648 107796 18096084 1141fd4 src/lyx
The current spelling is not strictly wrong, but flagged as unusual or
historical by some authorities. It is also found fault with many
spell checkers. Thus we decided to move to the more standard "-ible"
form once and for all.
See #10678 for discussion
This part covers the most tricky part: the internal naming.
Translations and layouts will follow.
This will all also all be backported to 2.3.x, for the sake of backwards
compatibility (cherry-picking).
Use Length instead of HSpace for math_indentation and rename it to mathindent.
Get rid of the string version.
Rename (g|s)etMathIndentation() to (g|s)etMathIndent().
Remove the HSpace class altogether.
Some cleanups to parindent support to look like mathindent.
This allows to fix distclean properly, since we know that
subdir-objects is used. When it is the case, it is not a good idea for
a Makefile to use a source file which is under the control of another
one. This could not be made to work work with old automake versions
(<1.14).
Therefore we refer directly to object files in Makefile.am instead of
source files. The actually leads to less compilation in tex2lyx.
Update the code here and there to remove compatibility hacks. Update
documentation.
Re-enable the layout test and fix the Length test, which was ovewriting
memory in test_inPixels() because lyxrc did not had a correct layout.
* new MathRow class which contains the description of a MathData
object in terms of math class and spacing
+ macros and their arguments used in the MathData object are
linearized (replaced with their contents) so that all math insets
are typeset as a string together. To this end, we introduce a
method addToMathRow to InsetMath and MathData. This method allows
to linearize recursively a MathData object.
+ It is then necessary to set manually the dimension and position of
the macros and arguments.
+ the class class and spacing are computed using the MathClass helpers.
The MathRow data is cached in the MathData object in a bufferview-dependent
way (different dpi for different screens).
* delegate most of the work MathData::metrics/draw to MathRow metrics/draw.
The case of draw is trickier, since many draw() methods rely on their
metrics without any spacing added.
This done according to the TeXbook. This class replaces the individual
isMathXXX() methods. The mathClass() method (currently unused) is
provided for the following insets:
* InsetMathChar (with a revised list of affected characters)
* InsetMathSymbol: the class is given by the `extra' field
Operators defined in lib/symbols (e.g. \log) are MC_OP
* InsetMathFrac is MC_INNER (except nicefrac and units)
* InsetDelimiters is MC_INNER
* InsetStackrel is MC_REL
* The class of InsetScript is the class of the last element of its
nucleus (yes, it is a hack, but doing it right is more work).
Remove the explicit spacing that was done in the different insets. The spacing
will be reintroduced properly in a forthcoming commit.
Use the standard way to check for the resource compiler, as e.g.
libtool does it: AC_CHECK_TOOL does already provide some cross compiling
magic, and we do also get an error now at configure time if windres is not
found.
The windres program is typically not called windres for cross compilation.
Now you can call configure with the argument
WINDRES=x86_64-w64-mingw32-windres
in order to use the windres program on a standard debian installation.
The included iconv should not be used on Linux or OS X, but (depending on
local configuration) it might be needed for crosscompiling a mingw target
from Linux. Now the user can choose whether to use the included iconv or not.
cmake does already support that.
eilseq.m4 was taken from the original libiconv 1.14 package.
The included zlib should not be used on Linux or OS X, but (depending on
local configuration) it might be needed for crosscompiling a mingw target
from Linux. Now the user can choose whether to use the included zlib or not.
cmake does already support that.
zconf.h.in was taken from the original zlib 1.2.8 package. The generation of
zconf.h was made equivalent to the one generated by cmake.
Deriving from std::vector to provide helper functions appears a touch
excessive. Use typedef instead and move helper functions to the base class. New
header Toc.h provided to replace forward-declarations.
Remove TocIterator which is useless.
"echo -e" is definitely not portable. Use a plain loop instead.
Also use the automake silent rule mechanism to make the generation of monolithic source files visible.
This removes the old implementation of Cursor::getSurroundingPos, that has been superceded in commit .
As this was the last user of the Bidi class, this can be removed too.
This generalises the new use of TocBuilder (97e8101) to listings and wraps and
removes some duplicate code.
Make sure that we will never write an empty float type again in the future
