Richard Heck	9374e68bfd	Fix bug 5146. The problem arose when attempting to paste normal text into ... a multicell selection. But the more I thought about this, the more it seemed that pasting into multicell selections shouldn't be allowed. What exactly ought to happen if the user selects a 2x3 grid of cells and then tries to paste a 5x5 group of cells? LyX, anyway, just ignores the selection in this case, which is not what the user will expect. The only remaining problem here is that, if you edit the TEXT that goes with an InsetBibitem, then the information in the citation will not get updated until something else invalidates the cache. The only way to fix this, given the existing system, would seem to be to check, every time anything gets edited, whether we're in a Bibliography environment or not, and if so to invalidate the cache. I'm not sure that is worth it. Really, it points to a more general issue with InsetBibitem, IMHO: It ought to be a kind of combined inset, a hybrid of sorts between an InsetCollapsable and an InsetCommand. Richard Heck	2a47858dda	Fix remaining issues with InsetSpace. The identifier "Space" used in the .lyx ... file has been changed to "space" to match the identifier used for the inset in Inset.cpp and for the dialog in GuiView.cpp. In future, we will want to get a similar uniformity elsewhere: The identifier used in the LyX file should match the one used as inset identifier. The easy way to do this, in the code, is to have insets write themselves this way: os << insetName(lyxCode()) << " "; rather than at present: os << "space "; Similar things could then happen elsewhere. E.g., if the dialog names are in sync with the inset names, then we could do something like: hideDialogs(insetName(lyxCode()), this); rather than hideDialogs("space", this); and perhaps even put that into the Inset destructor rather than have specific versions in each inset---with a test for whether there is such a dialog, of course. Richard Heck	b90b295e22	Partially fix an annoying hover problem, viz: InsetCollapsable buttons don't get unhovered' if you collapse them (via Ctrl-I) when the mouse is inside the inset. I often seem to end up with several hovered' buttons. ... There is probably a better solution somewhere, but it's not obvious what it is, and this solution doesn't do anything terrible. It leaves unaddressed the fact that the button does not get `hovered' if you open an inset via Ctrl-I, and then the mouse ends up inside it, and now the button will get `unhovered' whenver you collapse it, even if the mouse ends up over the button. Richard Heck	2193a50605	Implement a cache for BibTeX data. There was a cache of sorts already in InsetCitation, but that was being used only to cache the labels. So that has been moved to Buffer, and everything else that needs access to BibTeX data should call either Buffer::localBibInfo(), which gives you the BiblioInfo for this Buffer, or Buffer::masterBibInfo(), which gives you the BiblioInfo for the Buffer's master, if it has one, or for it, otherwise. Normally, what you want is masterBibInfo(). ... A better fix, suggested by Andre, would merge InsetTableCell and CellData into one class, in which case InsetTableCell::cell_data_ can be removed. A definite plus. I'll do that later if this works. Richard Heck	2b3bd7b5f4	This is the last of the commits that hopes to enforce the distinction between "layout files" and "document classes" that was introduced by the modules code. For the most part, these changes just refactor code from TextClass between: (a) a TextClass base class; (b) a LayoutFile subclass, which represents the information in a .layout file; and (c) a DocumentClass subclass, which represents the layout information associated with a Buffer---a LayoutFile plus Modules. Methods from TextClass have been apportioned between the three classes depending upon what is needed where, and signatures have been changed where necessary so that the right kind of class is required. ... At this point, there are no simple TextClass objects in the main LyX code, and it is impossible to create them, since the TextClass constructor is protected. Only LayoutFile and DocumentClass objects can be constructed, and for the most part these are constructed only by their respective containers: BaseClassList and DocumentClassBundle. There is an exception: LayoutFile does have a public default constructor, but if anyone knows how to make it go away, please do. There will be one or two more commits along these lines, but these will be simple renamings. Richard Heck	2fb02d20f1	Per Abdel's suggestion that we focus on bug-fixing at this point, this will be the last patch in this series for a bit. But I wanted to get this done before I forget what it is I was doing, so here it is. ... The idea behind this patch is to make real key-value support for InsetCommand parameters possible. This should be particularly useful for the listings version of InsetInclude, though we would need some kind of UI for it before it would really be helpful. (See below for some thoughts.) This doesn't substantially change anything else, though some things do get re-arranged a bit. Basically, the idea is this. First, we introduce a whole range of parameter types: Normal LaTeX optional and required parameters; ones for LyX's internal use (like embed); and finally, in connection with keyval, ones that represent keys and ones that represent optional and required arguments where the keyval stuff will appear. (I'm assuming here that there will always be exactly one of those, and that it will accept only keyval-type material.) The parameters themselves are stored in a map, so it's really only the output routines that need to care about the different types of parameters. Richard Heck	8e9410b3d0	After a hiatus, I'm returning to the rewrite of InsetCommandParams, the purpose of all of this being to make things more flexible, with the ultimate goal being biblatex support and a kind of InsetCommandFlex that will allow user-definable such things. The next step, really, is to fix up CiteEngine so that we can have different sets of parameters for InsetCitation depending upon what engine is in use. (Something like this also needs doing with InsetInclude.) ... This patch reworks the machinery that holds information about what parameters there are and what their values are. There's enough flexibility here that true keyval support ought to be fairly easy at this point. Richard Heck	7dcffe09f4	It used to be that things like InsetFlex, InsetCaption, and the like used the default layout, whatever that is---usually Standard. That gave rise to bug 2178, the solution to which is to define a new empty layout, which insets like these use instead of the default. See r22966. ... So, when we have an older LyX file, it will look like this: \begin_inset ERT status open \begin_layout Standard this that \end_layout \end_inset which is now invalid, because ERT uses only PlainLayout. So I had put some code into Text::readParToken, where the layout for a paragraph gets set as it is read: if (par.forceEmptyLayout()) { // in this case only the empty layout is allowed layoutname = tclass.emptyLayoutName(); } else if (par.useEmptyLayout()) { // in this case, default layout maps to empty layout if (layoutname == tclass.defaultLayoutName()) layoutname = tclass.emptyLayoutName(); } else { // otherwise, the empty layout maps to the default if (layoutname == tclass.emptyLayoutName()) layoutname = tclass.defaultLayoutName(); } This turns out not to work, because par.forceEmptyLayout() and par.useEmptyLayout() always return false here, because par.inInset() always returns a null pointer, because the paragraph's inset hasn't yet been set when Text::readParagraph() gets called from Text::read() gets called from InsetText::read(). Richard Heck	040f3431e7	Fix bug 4037 and related problems. The patch has been cleaned up a bit ... from the one posted to the list. The basic idea has two parts. First, we hard code an "empty layout" (called PlainLayout, for want of a better name) in TextClass and read it before doing anything else. It can therefore be customized by classes, if they want---say, to make it left-aligned. Second, InsetText's are divided into three types: (i) normal ones, that use the "default" layout defined by the text class; (ii) highly restrictive ones, such as ERT and (not quite an inset) table cells, which demand the empty layout; (iii) middling ones, which default to an empty layout and use the empty layout in place of the default. (This is so we don't get the same problem we had with ERT in e.g. footnotes.) The type of inset is signaled by new methods InsetText::forceEmptyLayout() and InsetText::useEmptyLayout(). (The latter might better be called: useEmptyLayoutInsteadOfDefault(), but that's silly.) The old InsetText::forceDefaultParagraphs() has been split into these, plus a new method InsetText::allowParagraphCustomization(). A lot of the changes just adapt to this change. The other big change is in GuiToolbar: We want to show LyXDefault and the "default" layout only when they're active. There are a handful of places where I'm not entirely sure whether we should be using forceEmptyLayout or !allowParagraphCustomization() or both. The InsetCaption is one of these. These places, and some others, are marked with FIXMEs, so I'd appreciate it if people would search through the patch and let me know whether these need changing.
